A note from Janet
I always loved film but it never felt real to work in it.
So I started my career in sales with a business degree. After a few years, I realized I was meant for something more.
For years, I took stabs in the dark, trying to figure out how to break into film.
I was constantly taking classes and trying to network—but I wasn’t making any real progress. I was just muddling in my passion, stuck in learning about film instead of actually working in it.
Everything changed when I discovered a new approach, built on two main things:
First: my life experience was my greatest asset, which meant I did not have to start over at the bottom.
And second: I needed to learn how to get on shoots, learn my craft there, and master the social game to create my career in film.
That’s when your career takes off and you make film what you do for the rest of your life. 🎬🔥
