Who are the FIF MENTORS?
The FIF MENTORS have been through the FIF Craft Certification program, and now are FULL time in the film industry. They are always working on set.
FIF Mentor Jana completed the FIF Craft Certification program, and is now dominating the film industry. Before she did the mentorship program, she was trying to get into the film industry, just like you!
The FIF Mentors are popping in to help you and answer questions, but keep in mind, we are doing this for FREE. We are on 14 hour/day shoots ourselves during this training so we will help you when we can.
The FIF Mentors are here to show you the incredible program that Friends in Film is, and you can see that it leads directly to people working in the film industry FULL TIME.

MY LIFE BEFORE THE FIF CRAFT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM:
I had only recently moved to NYC and was constantly nervous about making ends meet. I didn’t have the finances or time to take acting or dance classes or afford other business fees associated with growing an acting career.
MY LIFE NOW!
Now I’m able to spend time on sets each week meeting new people and networking for auditions and camera opportunities. I have the finances and freelance lifestyle time now to go for auditions and afford multiple classes and acting opportunities. I feel proud to tell people what I’m up to and am excited to meet new people in the industry on a normal basis. There is constant possibility for adventure and growth, which is inspiring and motivating.
I choose to do a few other projects that are more entertainment and theatre-based some months, but I have been able to pay my bills with just working in the film industry and can choose to do that any week I like! 😁
I have nuuuumerous connections to different film schools in NYC and the surrounding area. I also have several friends who create their own indie works. I adore being able to give new FIF rockstars opportunities on these different projects to help them build their experience and connections. Happy to help answer and questions you may have! Happy share! So we have Career on Fire going on now to share the possibility of FIF with more hardworkers and dreamers out there. I happened to work with a girl on set the other day who, after we talked and shared stories, will be joining COF this week and is pretty sure she’ll be joining FIF.
What’s even cooooler is I got a text from one of my old BFFs from college this morning. She’s interested in learning more about behind the camera work and reached out to me and see if I had any suggestions. I was also able to share COF with her and will be having a chat with her tonight 😀
The reason why all of this is such a happy share is because this is another example of how FIF can put you in a position to make a positive impact on the world. It may be seemingly small steps right now, but the fact that my success has put me in a position to help and influence others is exactly what I want out of life and why I work everyday to build my network and improve my reputation. We are doing more than building careers here friends. We are putting ourselves in positions to make a positive difference 😀
