Hi, I’m Ashley!

Who are the FIF MENTORS?

The FIF MENTORS have been through the FIF Craft Certification program, and now are FULL time in the film industry. They are always working on set.

FIF Mentor Ashley completed the FIF Craft Certification program, and is now dominating the film industry. Before she did the mentorship program, she was trying to get into the film industry, just like you!

The FIF Mentors are popping in to help you and answer questions, but keep in mind, we are doing this for FREE. We are on 14 hour/day shoots ourselves during this training so we will help you when we can.

MY LIFE BEFORE THE FIF CRAFT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM:

Before the Friends in Film program, I had just graduated from college and received my degree in Theatre Arts. Soon after, I moved back home and got a job working at the front desk for a local PBS Station. At first, I thought working at the front desk was the way to break into the film and TV industry. My boss and I would have weekly meetings about my career goals and he would allow me to go on auditions. Unfortunately, due to undisclosed reasons, my boss was fired and my new boss had no idea about my goals. I was able to do some voice over work for the station but the higher ups were not interested in mentoring me. I grew frustrated that I was not able to utilize my talents. All in all, I was stuck and felt unfulfilled. I knew I needed a change! I wanted to work in the industry 24/7.

MY LIFE NOW!

As I look back at my life, I sometimes have to pinch myself because of how much my life has changed for the better. I went from working a 9-5 making $15.00 an hour, to making $200.00 a day as a production assistant, to making $2000.00+ in one day as an actress! It is such a joy to do what I love to do. I am filled with happiness everyday because I get to pursue my dream to be an actress. The biggest thing I have been able to do is inspire the next generation to go after their dreams as well. I started speaking professionally in middle and high schools in my hometown (University Place/Tacoma, Washington) and the surrounding areas. Also, I had my first international podcast interview about my journey as an actress! Lastly, I am moving to Los Angeles to continue my path as an actress! You see, Friends in Film opened a new world for me that I never thought was attainable. I am forever grateful to Janet and the FIF Mentors.

I work full-time in the film industry! I have made so many connections that I am now planning my move to LA. Most likely, if you are reading this now, then I may already be Los Angeles! Please, ask me any questions you have, especially if you are looking to be a working actor in the tv/film industry. I got your back! 😊
